Honda have been dominating the small car segments for decades, in terms of quality, design (most important) and sales (to a certain extent). However, their 2012 model was a bit too dull compare to the designs we expect from Honda. Honda replies now, after only one year, with a brand new Civic. I am not sure if they planned for this to happen.
There are no changes to the engine choices, 1.8L and 2.4L (for the Si), so performance data and specs (0-60, 1/4 mile, hp..) are suppose to be very similar to the current 2012 model. Transmission choices will be 5-Speed MT and 5-Speed AT for the 1.8L engine. The Si will be equipped with a 6-Speed MT, with no Automatic choice (obviously).
