2013 Honda Civic

Honda have been dominating the small car segments for decades, in terms of quality, design (most important) and sales (to a certain extent). However, their 2012 model was a bit too dull compare to the designs we expect from Honda. Honda replies now, after only one year, with a brand new Civic. I am not sure if they planned for this to happen.

There are no changes to the engine choices,  1.8L and 2.4L (for the Si), so performance data and specs (0-60, 1/4 mile, hp..) are suppose to be very similar to the current 2012 model. Transmission choices will be 5-Speed MT and 5-Speed AT for the 1.8L engine. The Si will be equipped with a 6-Speed MT, with no Automatic choice (obviously).

  2. 1/4 mile: 17.1 sec
  • Engine: I4 – 1.8 L  SOHC 16 valve
  • HP: 140 hp @ 6500 rpm
  • Torque: 128 lb-ft @ 4300 rpm
  • FWD
  • 5-Speed MT / 5-Speed AT
  • Fuel Economy: (MT) 28/36 / (AT) 28/39 mpg


2013

Civic Si

  1. 0-60: 6.6 sec
  2. 1/4 mile: 14.9 sec
  • Engine: I4 – 2.4 L  DOHC 16 valve
  • HP: 201 hp @ 7000 rpm
  • Torque: 170 lb-ft @ 4300 rpm
  • FWD
  • 6-Speed MT
  • Fuel Economy: 22/31 mpg

 
Honda wants us to forget the 2012 civic!?!! Yup, forget it and here is the new one:
